Drugs

There's been a lot of talks about the potential benefits and downfalls of legalizing drugs and such. Theres a lot of different arguments going back and forth from many people. This is what I have to say:

Mind your own damn business.

Seriously, what is wrong with all you goddamn anti-drug morons. I don't know about other people, but when I smoke pot or do other drugs, I take my own hard earned money (from a legitimate job), buy drugs, and go home and use them. When I smoke a joint, I don't get up into other peoples faces and bother them by blowing smoke in their face or pressure them to do it, I just want to get high and enjoy myself for a couple of minutes. Is that so different from having a drink or going out for a cigarette?

I'm not stealing anything, I'm not killing anyone, I'm not raping anyone, I'm not hurting anyone, I'm not forcing anyone to do anything. The only thing I'm harming is my own body, and I'll be damned if someone else tells me what I can or cannot do with MY own fucking body. If I'm not forcing my shit down other peoples throats, why should it be a crime? Hell, Christians and Mormons go around everyday bothering people and forcing their goddamn crazyass bullshit down other peoples throats, why is that not a crime? Its not a crime to go around bothering people by trying to force a religion upon them, yet me smoking a joint in the privacy of my home is? That does not make any fucking sense at all.

"It's bad for you, thats why its illegal." Really? We illegalize things because they're bad for us? Then why the hell is alcohol and tobacco legal. Both drugs (yes, they ARE drugs) that are so much worse than say for example, marijuana, and yet you can still buy them. Why the hell are those legal? I'll tell you why. We dont give a rats ass if they're good or bad for us, we only care because those things came first and are easily taxable. Also, a bit of history too, we had a propaganda campaign that demonized minority races (blacks, mexicans, asians, etc.) that we didn't like and the drugs we associated them with (cocaine, marijuana, opium) because just like the crazyass ideas behind the logic of racism, they thought that these drugs were a tool to seduce white women, so we demonized drugs.

"Well, you can't operate machinery or safely drive under the influence of illegal drugs" Ever heard of drunk driving? How come if an accident happens under the influence of some other drug like pot the world explodes, but when an accident happens under the influence of alcohol we act like its normal? How come when someone gets into an accident while high on pot, everyone goes on about how bad and dangerous drugs are, but when someones driving drunk, its back to the don't drink and drive chant? Because for some reason we're smarter when it comes to alcohol and realize its not the drug, ITS THE PERSON. We seem to get that with alcohol. So why don't we realize this with marijuana, cocaine, or other drugs? BLAME IRRESPONSIBLE DRUG USE ON IRRESPONSIBLE PEOPLE, NOT THE DRUGS.
